We are pleased to introduce our October Faces of Hospitality, Rishika Dalaya and Stephan Jauslin.
💫 Meet Rishika Dalaya, Novotel Vaughan Centre
Rishika Dalaya, Assistant Front Office Manager at Novotel Vaughan Centre, has more than seven years of experience in the hospitality industry, including over four years with her hotel. What she loves most about hospitality is that no two days are ever the same. From welcoming guests and solving problems to making someone’s stay a little more comfortable, Rishika enjoys the opportunity to make a positive difference each day. She also values working alongside her team and the constant learning that comes with the industry.
Outside of work, Rishika has a passion for travel. Thailand is her favourite destination she has visited so far, with Bangkok, Phuket, and Pattaya each offering something unique, from vibrant culture and lively markets to beautiful beaches and warm hospitality. Looking ahead, she hopes to visit Ladakh, where she would love to experience the peaceful mountain landscapes, visit Pangong Lake and local monasteries, and take in the breathtaking scenery.
Rishika’s passion for hospitality, commitment to creating meaningful guest experiences, and love of exploring new places make her a wonderful example of the people who make Toronto’s hospitality industry so special.
💫 Meet Stephan Jauslin, Nobu Hotel Toronto
Stephan Jauslin, Senior Director of Food & Beverage at Nobu Hotel Toronto, brings 26 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including nearly three years at the hotel. With a career spanning more than two decades, Stephan appreciates the variety that comes with working in hospitality. For him, the best part is simple: two days are never the same. Each day brings new experiences, challenges, and opportunities to create memorable moments for guests.
Stephan is also a passionate traveller, with a long list of favourite destinations that includes South Africa, Brazil, India, Finland, and destinations throughout the Mediterranean. Each offers its own unique culture, cuisine, landscapes, and experiences, making it difficult to choose just one favourite. Looking ahead, Japan is at the top of his travel list. He hopes to experience the country’s distinctive culture, incredible food, and beautiful landscapes firsthand.
With his wealth of experience, passion for food and beverage, and love of discovering new places, Stephan is a wonderful example of the people and perspectives that make Toronto’s hospitality industry so dynamic.
