This June, we are proud to spotlight three hospitality professionals whose passion, dedication, and unique career journeys continue to make an impact across the industry. From sales and guest experience to operations and leadership, each of these individuals brings something special to hospitality and exemplifies the people-first spirit that drives the industry forward.
We are excited to introduce this month’s Faces of Hospitality spotlight, featuring Taylor Hopkins, Teshai Moore, and Lorena Lainez.
💫 Meet Taylor Hopkins, Alt Hotel Toronto Airport

Taylor Hopkins is a Sales Coordinator at Alt Hotel Toronto Airport and a graduate of the Hospitality Management: Hotel Operations program. As a recipient of the GTHA Scholarship, Taylor has already made a strong impact during her first few months in the hospitality industry.
One of the standout moments in Taylor’s career so far was helping coordinate Swarovski’s annual four-day Store Manager Training event at the hotel. Alongside her colleague Tsering Lhamo, she assisted with every detail from catering and transportation to personalized touches that elevated the guest experience. The event became the hotel’s highest revenue-generating single event since opening in 2012.
Looking ahead, Taylor hopes to continue growing within the Le Germain family and work toward a senior leadership role, with aspirations of becoming a Director of Sales in the future.
Outside of hospitality, Taylor’s favourite travel destination has been Cozumel, Mexico, a place she remembers for its beauty and unforgettable experiences.
💫 Meet Teshai Moore, The Annex Hotel

Teshai Moore has been working in hospitality for the past three years as a bartender at The Annex Hotel, bringing energy, personality, and genuine connection to every guest experience.
What Teshai loves most about hospitality is the opportunity to meet people from all over the world, learn about different cultures, and share parts of his own along the way. His passion for people and creating memorable experiences is what makes him such a valued part of the industry.
One of Teshai’s favourite travel experiences was visiting Rhodes, Greece, two summers ago for a family friend’s wedding. From the island’s rich history to its beautiful scenery, the trip left a lasting impression.
Looking ahead, Teshai hopes to one day travel to London to see his favourite football club, Chelsea FC, play at Stamford Bridge, a dream he has had since childhood.
💫 Meet Lorena Lainez, Residence Inn by Marriott Toronto Mississauga Southwest

Lorena’s journey in hospitality is a true reflection of dedication, growth, and perseverance at Residence Inn by Marriott Toronto Mississauga Southwest.
Lorena joined the team in 2020 during the hotel’s pre-opening phase as a Room Attendant. Through her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence, she quickly stood out as a valued team member and was promoted to Housekeeping Supervisor in 2022.
Her leadership, professionalism, and willingness to continue learning led to another exciting milestone in 2023 when she transitioned into the role of Hotel Accountant.
Lorena’s progression from the Heart of House to a key administrative role is an inspiring example of career growth within hospitality and highlights the value of adaptability, continuous learning, and hard work.
From creating memorable guest experiences to growing into leadership roles, Taylor, Teshai, and Lorena each represent the passion and dedication that make the hospitality industry so special. We are proud to celebrate their journeys and look forward to seeing all they accomplish in the years ahead.
