Faces of Hospitality: August Spotlight

At the GTHA, we’re proud to shine a spotlight on the incredible people who bring our industry to life each and every day. This August, we’re proud to highlight three individuals whose dedication, warmth, and leadership continue to make a lasting impact on the guest experience.

Meet Emeline Boul – Hotel Victoria

At just 17, Emeline Boul entered the hospitality world as a part-time room attendant in the south of France. That early experience sparked a lifelong passion, eventually taking her through luxury hotels across Europe, and now to Toronto, where she is General Manager at Hotel Victoria.

Her journey has been guided by curiosity and care — from working in guest relations in Monaco to front desk leadership on the French Riviera. In Canada, Emeline has brought that same dedication to properties like Four Seasons Yorkville, The Anndore House, and now, Hotel Victoria.

“Whether guests, partners, or team members, we are constantly surrounded by individuals who genuinely care — and that inspires you to become a better person and leader.”

A believer in the power of small gestures, Emeline recalls an early experience when a single comment during a housekeeping shift led to a heartfelt gift from a guest — a moment that reminded her how meaningful simple human connection can be.

Meet Khrystyna Lytvyn – Revery Toronto Downtown

For Khrystyna Lytvyn, hospitality is all about the people. As Front Office Supervisor at Revery Toronto Downtown, she brings positivity and attentiveness to each shift, creating meaningful experiences for guests and colleagues alike.

“There’s something really rewarding about being able to turn a guest’s day around or make their stay special in a way they didn’t expect.”

One of her proudest moments was being named Employee of the Quarter — a recognition from her team that made her feel deeply appreciated. Whether she’s managing the front desk or reminiscing about her favorite trip to Thessaloniki, Greece, Khrystyna embodies the true spirit of hospitality through care, connection, and excellence.

Meet Rey Latorre – Le Germain Hotel Mercer

Since the doors of Le Germain Mercer opened in 2003, Rey Latorre has been part of its foundation. Inspired by his father who also worked at the hotel, Rey began his career as a breakfast server and steadily grew into leadership, now serving as Assistant Food and Beverage Manager.

Rey is known not only for his incredible memory — recalling guests’ favorite drinks even years later — but also for his unmatched hospitality behind the bar. His cocktail-making skills and welcoming presence have become part of the hotel’s signature charm.

“What I love most about working in hospitality is the opportunity to connect with our guests and make them feel truly welcome.”

To Rey, hospitality is about creating a sense of home and family — not just for guests, but for colleagues too. His warmth, energy, and love for the job continue to shape memorable moments day after day.

These stories are just a glimpse into the inspiring people who bring hospitality to life every day. We thank Rey, Emeline, and Khrystyna for their contributions and continued excellence in the industry.
