BOND PLACE HOTEL

“Though no longer the mom-and-pop establishment first opened in 1973, The Bond Place Hotel’s ever-increasing amenities and a complete renovation are making it an attractive corporate and leisure destination in downtown Toronto. A hop, skip and a jump from bustling Dundas Square, home of the Eaton Centre, Bond Place is also within walking distance of the CN Tower, the Rogers Centre, Air Canada Centre, Hockey Hall of Fame, Harbourfront Centre, Union Station, the Toronto Island Ferry Terminal, eclectic Queen Street and  other major downtown attractions.

The hotel boasts a new fitness centre and revamped banquet and meeting spaces to accommodate the needs of corporate visitors. Newly renovated rooms give guests a place to stay, with the comforts of home all present including LCD televisions and Wi-Fi capability. The lobby-level bespresso bar serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. The hotel is a direct stop on Airport Express bus routes.”

Licencing

The Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services’ new basic Training and Testing Regulation is now in force. In order to ensure that security guards and private investigators possess a basic level of skill, the test is mandatory for all existing licensees and new applicants. If your licence expires before July 16, 2010 you may renew your licence once without having to pass the ministry test. You will need to pass the test before your licence expires the following year. If you do not renew your licence before it expires you will be treated as a new applicant, and as such you will be required to successfully complete the basic training and testing requirements before being eligible to apply for a licence.

If your licence expires on or after July 16, 2010 you must successfully complete the ministry test before being eligible to apply for a licence renewal. If you do not complete the test and renew your licence before the expiry date you will be treated as a new applicant, and as such you will be required to successfully complete the basic training and testing requirements before being eligible to apply for a licence.
